"Sugar" Shane Mosley is an American fighting veteran who made his name with his dynamic and energetic fighting style.

Mosley, now into his 40's, fought at welterweight for the majority of his career, but has more latterly stepped up to the 154lb light middleweight rating. He has won World Championships at three different weight divisions during his career.

The California-born and based right-hander has held a succession of World Championships during his distinguished career, including the IBF World Lightweight Championship, IBA and WBC World belts at welterweight and IBA, WBC and WBA World light middleweight titles.

Since 2010, Mosley has been involved in some major contests, including fights defeats against Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao.

Following defeat to Anthony Mundine down under towards the back end of 2013, the illustrious career of Sugar Shane appeared to be drawing to a close.

However, the opportunity to rematch Ricardo Mayorga cropped up and in August 2015 saw Mosley complete a double of Mayorga in front of his home state with a 6th round knockout victory over the Nicaraguan.
