Manny Pacquiao’s next move for April or May will be revealed shortly and there’s plenty of names and locations in the frame to host the fight.
After dethroning Jessie Vargas live on BoxNation in November to win back the WBO World Welterweight crown, Pacquiao declared his intentions to fight on whilst balancing his Senate duties.
Pound for pound unified Super-Lightweight king Terence Crawford has been tipped to move up and bid to become a three weight World Champion in a possible mouth-watering showdown with stablemate Pacquiaio.
Pacquiao’s long term advisor Mike Koncz confirmed their interest to the Manilla Bulletin, but it’ll come at a whopping price: "If it’s Crawford that Top Rank wants for Manny Pacquiao then we’ll fight Crawford, but we want a guarantee of $20 million.”
Promoter Bob Arum has since conceded to the Manilla Times the Crawford fight is unlikely to fall in the first half of the year: “We’re not planning the next fight in the United States so we’re also not planning on Crawford now.”
The legendary Top Rank chief added: "Now that the New Year is over, I'm going to finalise a location, because we're looking out for an opponent depending on the locations like in Australia, England, Middle East or maybe even in Mexico. That's what I want to do with the last period of Manny's career. I want him to be known as a worldwide fighter.”
One name that has come to the forefront as a potential challenger is WBO #2 ranked contender Jeff Horn, who BoxNation viewers recently saw get off the floor to beat Ali Funeka on the Parker v Ruiz undercard in Auckland.
"Jeff Horn is a good possibility. I will be flying soon to the Philippines once I have finalised every detail," announced Arum who recently signed a co-promotional deal with the unbeaten Aussie.

The Hall of Famer stated back in November that a monster showdown between Pacquiao and Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko could come to fruition in 2017 and reiterated his desire to make the fight should the reigning WBO World Super-Featherweight Champion jump up in weight.
“A possible fight against Lomachenko could also happen later in the year in the US if ever Lomachenko goes up to the Welterweight class. He is presently weighing up at 135 pounds. He’ll be fighting in March,” Arum concluded.
